REDEEMED AND RENOWNED

A couple of months back we went through the book of Ruth at River West. It's a beautiful story of redemption. One of the things pastor Guy mentioned as he wrapped up the book is that there were two words used about Naomi's life. At the end of the book of Ruth the women of the village use both redeemed and renowned to talk about her story.

Redeemed: God is a God of redemption and has redeemed her life.

Renowned: the story she now tells is now well-known, famous; beca-use God has moved in her life.

Ezekiel 34:29 says: "I will provide for them renowned plantations so that they shall no more be consumed with hunger in the land, and no longer suffer reproach."

Zephaniah 3:20 says: "I will make you renowned and praised among all the peoples of the earth."

The question is: how has God given you both redemption and renowned so that you have a different story to tell?

As God's people we are called into an new identity. We are called into new relationships. We are called into a time and place to be something, do something, make something new. When we tell this story there are moments of redemption and renowned where God makes our story his story.

What does that look like for you?
